Punk Neckties

Forecast articles on fashion retailers

Another Christmas comes and goes, all the painful preparations gone in a whirl of excitement. And next year the same thing again. The good news it gets easier more enjoyable and economical, but only if you enjoy convenient services on offer online. It is no longer perceived a dumping ground (bargain) to overload and the end of season fashion accessories, or counterfeits. There are commercially dedicated independent spirit featuring some big names like Brad and Vivienne Westwood Timothy Everest of Savile Row and more.

For small independent onliners like us, it is time to think. That sold well and what did not. What are customers demanding?

Well, the surprise was and still is Victoria Richards, a fashion designer best known for its silk ties by hand, often worn by Channel 4 Anchor Man Jon Snow. She hit the right combination of colors, textures and more importantly, giving depth and interest added. And despite its relatively unknown brand, outsold most styles, the most popular being the "Devon Bar" a combination of broad slightly irregular horizontal lines in varying shades of blues. They recall a few links home school, remember. Here's an anecdote to help your memory.

In 1880, the rowing club at the University of Exeter College Oxford invented the first school ties. After an emotional victory over their rivals, they celebrated by removing their tape strips of boaters hat and tie, four-in-hand around their necks. When they ordered a set of links, with the colors of their hatbands they had accidentally created the modern school link. Schools, clubs, and sporting ties appeared in abundance. Some schools have different links for different grades, achievement levels, and for graduates.

Then came Vivienne Westwood and cufflink collection 2008. Westwood lovers were willing to pre order knowing they would not arrive until February 2008. There is a value in the product and the name here. And she remains true to good form and function in all his good work.

Here is a very brief glimpse into his past. Vivienne Isabel Swire was born in Glossopdale, Derbyshire, April 8, 1941. His mother was a weaver in the local cotton mills and her father came from a family of shoemakers. His parents ran a sub post office in Tintwistle before moving north-west London in the 1950s.

In 1965 she met Malcolm McLaren together they became one of the most creative partnerships in history and as they say the rest is history.

Vivienne Westwood accepted a DBE in the list of 2006 New Year Honours "for services to fashion", she won the British Designer of the Year three times. In December 2003, she and the company Wedgwood pottery has launched a series of tea sets with his drawings show his versatility and maturity and respect she has created, far from Punk. Endurance in an industry as volatile for an extended period is a distinctive sign by any measure.

London Badge and Button cufflinks were another big surprise. Based in the Birmingham area historical jewels, The London Badge & Button Company has over 30 years experience in the design and development of fine cufflinks, buttons and accessories for men and manufacturers are behind many leading stores in the UK and home fashion collections.

Louisa Taylor and Pei-Nap Mok is an award winning design team behind the current LBB London cufflink collection. As a team, they gave life to a new breed of cufflinks

Traditionally known for its strong & distinctive enamel and silver cufflinks, LBB current collection has expanded the use of unusual materials and money for both cufflinks classic and contemporary with its corresponding accesso.
